It is a highly desirable qualification for anyone with an interest or career intentions in Classics, Ancient History or Archaeology. This qualification is not widely offered so gives students an unique appeal when applying to university.

An A Level in Ancient history can lead to University as well as more practical careers such as Archaeology, Teaching and Lecturing or Museum Curation.

With all history based subjects there is writing but Ancient History isn't harder than Modern History.

There will be a chance to undertake practical work experience with an archaeology company as well as trips and visits.
