‘I have enjoyed studying Business Studies. I feel like my teachers make such an effort to help me improve, and genuinely care about me succeeding in the subject. They’re all very down to earth which makes lessons relaxed; I really see a difference in my work, and more enjoyment at school because of them.’

‘Business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.’

  • Business and Economics complement each other well and there are a handful of topics that you will find in both subjects, but Business focuses on the decisions and management of one firm – competing to be the best at what they do. Economics has two parts to it; Microeconomics looks at individual marketplaces – for example the housing market, car market or stock market. Macroeconomics looks at how all of these markets interact with each other. So really Business is like applied microeconomics! Lots of our students choose to study both subjects, especially if they are interested in entering financial careers
