The NEA is launched at the end of Year 12 with a series of taught lessons that explain the assessment objectives and the timeframe for the different phases of the process. At this time you are given a lot of help to come up with an enquiry question, gather resources and start drafting your proposal. In the Autumn term of Year 13 the process continues and questions are submitted to the exam board for approval. After this research, drafting and redrafting of the essay is undertaken and at this stage you need to work independently.
