For the Intro Diploma course, you have two exams units and three units of coursework to do; whilst for the Full Diploma course, you have three exam units and eight units of coursework to do. All coursework units cover a range of areas and fields in IT, which is also useful across various careers.
Exam units are mandatory and the foundation for the courses. Their contents cuts across the coursework units as well. Both the Intro and full diploma follow the IT Infrastructure pathway.

The Intro-Diploma CTECH L3 in IT is equivalent to 1 A Level, while the Full Diploma CTECH L3 in IT is equivalent to 2 A Levels.

MEI stands for mandatory employer involvement. Both are linked and mandatory for this subject. As part of the delivery of these courses, you will get a chance to visit IT and business companies, and meet specialists in the computing and IT fields, both face to face and virtually during lesson times and ALDs.

The CTECH L3 in IT course does not cover or contain any programming unit. In IT you will be trained to become an IT technician or a Project Manager. If you are interested in learning any programming language, you are more than welcome to join our afterschool clubs for Python.
